One thing to do in Boca Raton is Sugar Sand Park. Sugar Sand Park is a fantastic place to take your kids to break up the heat of the southern Florida sun. This 132 acre park helps to “enhance role of recreation and culture for residents and visitors alike,” according to the site.

Another place that is great for the whole family is the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. The center has been teaching visitors and locals alike about environmental conservation since 1984. At the center you can see rescued sea turtles, or go on a nature walk through the Butterfly Garden! It is the perfect afternoon escape for the young nature lovers in your life!
If you want a more “grown-up” nature exploration, try visiting The Spanish River Paddle Company. Take a kayak or paddleboard on an Eco-Tour and learn about the oceans and coastal areas of Southern Florida. Advance purchase is necessary and it fills up fast so book early right here!
Another fun day for the entire family is snorkeling in the south Floridian water. Try Red Reef Park or South Inlet Park for all of the views of snorkeling without having to rent a boat!
